I spent my childhood in hippie San Francisco, but travelled to the smoggy
city of Los Angeles at seventeen. After four years of study, I earned a
fine arts degree from the University of California-Irvine, studying contemporary
artists such as Pollak and Basquiat and gaining appreciation for movements such as
Minimalism
and Abstract Expressionism.
Wanting to be refine my creativity, I enrolled as a graduate student
at Art
Center College of Design. While there I discovered a
passion for interactive design, squeezed in a few film classes and even
directed an award-winning music video from Fort
Minor, a hip-hop group led by Linkin Park front-man Mike Shinoda.
After school, I wanted to focus on design and came on as an intern at 2tor, a New York-based
start-up that helps universities design and implement online programs.
In my time there, I worked on everything from building interactive learning
tools to re-thinking the IA and designing a fresh UX/UI.
Outside of creating, I listen to twit
podcasts, dabble in stocks, and occasionally pick up my tennis racket.
